C.J. Morris Undergoes IB/PYP Evaluation Visit

C.J. Morris Undergoes IB/PYP Evaluation Visit With IB Coordinator, Mrs. Arellanez, leading the way, it seems like only yesterday that Cyrus J. Morris received the exciting news and honor of becoming an International Baccalaureate Organization, Primary Years Programm (IB/PYP) School. C.J. Morris was evaluated by the IBO on April 28th and 29th. The evaluation visit is required by the IBO every five years. The staff at C.J. Morris has worked diligently to meet the requirements of the IB/PYP Program, and prepare for this year's visit.

The purpose of the visit is to ensure that the standards and practices of the IB/PYP Program are maintained. The IBO will provide the school with feedback to guide improvement in our Primary Years Program. To prepare for this visit, the entire staff at C.J. Morris has undergone significant reflection on instructional practices. The school community, staff, students, parents and district personnel were instrumental in highlighting the progress C.J. Morris has made as a Primary Years Program World School. The IB/PYP evaluation team will provided feedback to guide the future practices in the PYP Program.

The staff at C.J. Morris understands that the IB/PYP journey will never end. One IB evaluation visit ends, only to jump right into preparing for the next. The end result always proves that the process is purposeful to our school staff and most importantly our students.
